Beams from Input to Auto Shear Load ( Home & Modeling & Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Lists beams in the model that have user-entered shear loads on at least one of their ends. Select on the list those beams that you want to have auto shear loads.
  • On the edit windows of the beams you selected to be changed, you will find that the " Shear load " for each end is set to " Auto ."
  • An " Auto " shear load is calculated based on the percent of uniform allowable load or maximum web shear entered to " Beam design reaction " in Design Settings. The magnitude of a shear load affects the size and strength of the connection on that end of the beam.
